The Ignition Framework

I am completely obsessed with the idea of garment architecture and exposing the foundations of a silhouette! For this look in the "UNHOLY" sequence, I wanted to play with the concept of restriction versus energy. The skirt is a literal cage, a deconstructed panier structure I built from thick, rigid red bands. It represents the physical boundaries we put on ourselves.

To contrast that rigid lower half, I wanted the bodice to feel alive with kinetic potential. I incorporated glowing red elements that map out a geometric circuitry across the torso. It looks like bioluminescent veins or a machine powering up. The whole concept here is about that dangerous, vibrating tension of high voltage energy that is currently trapped within a structure but is desperately waiting for a reason to break free.
