My Design
Journey

01

Research & Story

Every collection begins with a narrative. I dive into cultural references, historical archives, personal memories, or emotions that resonate deeply. Moodboards become visual poems, and research becomes the foundation.

  • Cultural and historical research
  • Mood board curation with textures, colors, and references
  • Defining the emotional core of the collection

Sketching & Silhouettes

Ideas flow onto paper. I sketch endlessly, exploring silhouettes, proportions, and details. This is where the story takes visual form — sometimes elegant, sometimes experimental, always intentional.

  • Fashion illustration and technical sketches
  • Exploring different silhouettes and proportions
  • Refining design details and construction ideas

Textiles & Techniques

Fabric selection is critical. I experiment with handlooms, natural dyes, embroidery, and surface treatments. Each textile choice adds depth to the narrative, whether it's sustainable cotton or luxurious silk.

  • Sourcing and selecting fabrics aligned with the story
  • Experimenting with surface design (printing, dyeing, embroidery)
  • Testing fabric behavior and drape

Sampling & Fittings

Draping muslin on mannequins, creating prototypes, and conducting fittings. This is where theory meets reality. Adjustments are made, proportions refined, and the garment starts breathing.

  • Creating muslin mockups and toiles
  • Fitting sessions and adjustments
  • Finalizing pattern and construction methods

Final Lookbook & Presentation

The final garments are styled, shot, and presented. Every image, every layout, every caption is curated to tell the story cohesively. This is where the collection becomes a complete visual narrative.

  • Styling the collection with accessories and props
  • Photography and lookbook creation
  • Portfolio layout and storytelling
